1. Definitions and interpretation
“Sovrign” means the Sovrign platform and related services operated by AI Creation Labs Ltd, including
sovrign.school.
“Learner” means the child/teen using Sovrign for learning or projects.
“Parent/Guardian” means the adult purchasing, consenting, or supervising a Learner’s use where
required.
“Content” includes videos, text, templates, prompts, assignments, curriculum, graphics, and community
posts.
“AI tools” means AI features embedded in Sovrign and/or third-party AI services used in the learning
process.
Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
2. Who may use Sovrign
Sovrign is designed primarily for learners aged 13–18 . Where a specific product permits younger
learners, a Parent/Guardian must supervise use and provide any required consents.
If you are a Parent/Guardian purchasing on behalf of a Learner, you confirm you have authority to
provide consent and you remain responsible for supervision, device settings, and off-platform tool use.
You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and purchase.
3. Accounts, conduct, and acceptable use
You must keep account credentials confidential and must not share login access outside your
household. You agree not to: (i) attempt unauthorised access, (ii) disrupt the platform, (iii) upload illegal,
harmful, or abusive content, (iv) bully, harass, or discriminate, (v) circumvent safety controls, or (vi)
misuse AI tools to generate prohibited content.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe there is a safety risk, policy breach,
fraud, or legal requirement.
4. Purchases, access, and refunds
4.1 Purchases and access
Product details (price, access period, deliverables, and any prerequisites) are shown on the relevant
product/course page and at checkout. Access is granted after successful payment confirmation.
4.2 Course refunds (48-hour guarantee)
Unless a product page states otherwise, courses include a 48-hour, no-questions-asked refund
window from the time the Learner first starts the course (or, if start-time cannot be verified, from the time
access is first granted). Request by emailing support@sovrign.school with the purchaser name and
order reference.
4.3 Merchandise returns
If Sovrign sells physical merchandise, it may be returned within 14 days of receipt if unused and in
original condition. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is defective or
incorrect. Refunds are processed within 14 business days of receiving the returned item. Sale items
may be excluded where stated at purchase.
4.4 Chargebacks and abuse
Submitting a chargeback without first contacting support may result in account suspension while we
investigate. Refund abuse or fraud may result in refusal of service.
5. Privacy and data protection (including children’s data)
Sovrign is committed to protecting personal data. We follow applicable data protection laws, including
UK GDPR and EU GDPR, and apply enhanced safeguards for children’s data.
5.1 Data we collect
We may collect: (i) account and enrolment details (names, emails, age band), (ii) Parent/Guardian
contact and consent records where applicable, (iii) learning progress and submissions, (iv) support
communications, and (v) technical data such as device/browser info and IP address.
5.2 Why we collect it
To provide course access, operate accounts, deliver learning features, maintain safety, provide support,
improve the platform, and meet legal obligations.
5.3 Legal bases
Depending on context we rely on: contract performance (delivering what you purchased), consent
(where required), legitimate interests (platform security, service improvement), and legal obligations.
5.4 Children’s data and parental involvement
Where required, we obtain Parent/Guardian consent and maintain records of consent.
Parents/Guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of a Learner’s personal data,
subject to legal requirements.
5.5 Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers (e.g., hosting,
payments, analytics) under contracts requiring confidentiality and appropriate safeguards, and with
authorities where legally required.
5.6 Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to
provide access and meet legal requirements. We maintain appropriate security measures (access
control, encryption where applicable, and operational safeguards).
5.7 Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and
portability, and you may withdraw consent where applicable. To exercise rights, contact
support@sovrign.school .
6. AI usage & safety (including safeguarding and oversight)
Sovrign uses AI to support education and creativity. AI is a tool—not an authority figure—and it does not
replace human judgment.
6.1 Permitted uses
AI may be used for: explaining concepts, guiding creative workflows (e.g., storytelling/filmmaking),
generating structured practice, and adjusting pacing within defined educational boundaries.
6.2 Prohibited uses
Sovrign does not use AI for: psychological profiling, emotional manipulation, covert monitoring, social
scoring, political persuasion, advertising targeting of minors, or autonomous decisions with legal or
similarly significant effects.
6.3 Safeguards for minors
AI interactions are restricted and moderated. Content relating to sexual material, graphic violence,
self-harm, extremism/hate, substance misuse, or medical/legal/mental-health directives is blocked or
redirected. We maintain escalation paths for human review.
6.4 No training public models on student work
Student content is not used to train public AI models. Where third-party tools are used in the learning
process, users should review those tools’ terms and settings; Sovrign teaches responsible use and
encourages privacy-protective settings.
6.5 Limitations
AI outputs may be incorrect or incomplete. Learners are taught to verify facts and use critical thinking.
Do not treat AI as professional advice.
6.6 Reporting
Report safety concerns to support@sovrign.school . We review reports and take corrective action
where necessary.
7. Intellectual property
All Sovrign-created Content and branding (including logos, videos, templates, curriculum, and materials)
is owned by Sovrign or its licensors and is protected by IP laws. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or
publicly share Sovrign Content without written permission.
Learner-created work remains owned by the Learner. By uploading work to Sovrign, you grant Sovrign a
limited licence to host, display back to you, and operate platform features necessary to deliver the
service.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Sovrign provides educational services and materials “as is”. Outcomes depend on effort, device
capability, and third-party tools. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sovrign is not liable for indirect,
incidental, or consequential losses. Sovrign’s total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to
the amount you paid for that purchase.
9. Changes to the platform and this framework
We may update the platform and this framework to improve features, safety, or compliance. Material
changes will be communicated via the website and/or email where appropriate. The effective date at the
top indicates the current version.
10. Governing law and contact
This framework is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have
exclusive jurisdiction.
